Helicopter accident at the Ekofisk Complex

A Bell 212 helicopter with three people on board crashed on 10 August 1991 while attempting to attach a 12-metre-long aluminium pole to the flare stack on 2/4 S.

The rescue from the fire on Ekofisk 2/4 A

Dave Taylor from Hull in England was a Crane Operator on Ekofisk Alpha 2/4 A when the fire occurred on the platform November 1st, 1975. He was 27 years at that time. Here is his story from the tragic accident when three men died:

Cod 7/11 A comes on stream

7/11 A ble installert i 1975 og produksjonen startet i 1977. Borerigg med utstyr ble fjernet i oktober 1997. Plattformen ble stengt og fraflyttet i 1998.
