Located 35 kilometres to the south-east, the field was the first outside the Greater Ekofisk Area to be tied into the Ekofisk system. Gas from Valhall was also eventually piped to Ekofisk, where it and the oil were metered and separated before being sent on to Teesside and Emden.[REMOVE]Fotnote: [1] News Brief, September 1981.
